Bitcoin: spot demand and key levels of the week

Spot demand is holding, while the futures market is cooling. Let's look at what this means in practice and what levels should be kept in sight for the coming week.

What happens on the spot

When the price rises on spot purchases, and not just on leverage in derivatives, the move is considered healthier. Signs of stable spot demand:

  • inflows to spot pairs do not decrease due to local pullbacks;
  • exchange balances of the coin are stable or declining (fewer people want to sell);
  • growth is not accompanied by a sharp increase in open interest in futures.

Now we see exactly this picture: spot is being bought, and the futures market, on the contrary, is cooling down - some of the speculative longs have closed.

Why cooling of futures is normal

High funding and overheated open interest often precede sharp pullbacks: the market is “crowded” with longs, and any downward movement triggers a cascade of liquidations. The reduction in futures activity during the live spot removes this risk and makes the trend less fragile.

What to look for:

  • Funding rate — returning to neutral values eliminates overheating;
  • Open interest - a smooth decline against the background of a stable price indicates an unloading of shoulders;
  • Spot/derivatives ratio - the larger the spot contribution, the more reliable the basis of the movement.

Key levels of the week

You should work not with one point, but with zones:

  1. Support zone - the area where the price rolled back and was bought back from earlier. As long as it holds, the growth structure is not disturbed.
  2. Intermediate resistance - the level where growth stopped last time. Securing it from above opens the way higher.
  3. Upper target - a large level of the previous local maximum.

A practical approach: mark these zones on the chart and watch the price and volume response as you approach them, rather than trying to guess the exact reversal.

What to track next

  • Does the spot retain the initiative on pullbacks?
  • Is funding returning to the overheating zone?
  • How the price behaves near key zones: rebound with volume or sluggish trading.

The combination of “live spot + cooling futures + holding support” is a constructive background. Violation of any of the three conditions is a signal to reconsider the script.
